Abstract

In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the number of solar energy generation systems, generating an urgent need for effective solutions for structure monitoring. This study proposes the implementation of a sensor data acquisition system, with subsequent transmission to a remote client, using the MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) protocol in a solar tracking power plant. This choice is supported by MQTT's reputation for asynchronous and reliable communication between devices. The Raspberry Pi was chosen as the hardware for data capture due to its processing capabilities and connectivity, suitable for embedded applications. InfluxDB is the chosen database, recognized for its efficiency in handling large volumes of time-series data. The system implementation, including communication with sensors, data processing, and integration with InfluxDB, was performed in Python. This combination of technologies resulted in a complete and efficient system for monitoring a photovoltaic station, providing more precise and intelligent management of solar energy generation.
