Abstract

Recent technological advances have generated several works in the area of quantum control. Within the scope of this line of research, this article deals with the control problem of a quantum system whose dynamics are described by Schrödinger's equation, in the case of closed systems, and by Lindblad's equation, in the case of open systems, with the objective the preparation of quantum states. For this purpose, a Model Predictive Control (MPC) strategy was used, whose optimizations were solved by a Quasi-Newton method. In the end, performance metrics evaluate the quality of control in both cases.
