Desafios no Levantamento Seguro de Dados de Campo na Prospecção de Energias Renováveis

The global energy transition has accelerated the demand for renewable energy projects, demanding precise and secure data acquisition during the prospecting phase—an essential step in evaluating the technical and economic feasibility of such ventures. In Brazil, where the energy matrix is largely renewable such as hydroelectric power. Recently, wind, solar and ocean energy sources are expanding. In order to promove a step foward in wind, solar and ocean energy exploration in Brazil, measurement compaigns are needed. However, the prospection areas of new potential regions for solar, wind and ocean energy are located in remote and hard-to-access regions, constituting significat operational challenges and risks that may compromise data integrity, potentially causing delays or even rendering project implementation unfeasible. This study examines some challenges encountered in Brazil, the installation, operation, and monitoring of systems such as SODAR, LIDAR, and ADCP. In this study, we focus on vulnerabilities stemming from the lack of energy redundancy and remote monitoring. Strategies implemented to enhance the resilience of field measurement processes are discussed, including redundant power supply systems and satellite communication, ensuring data continuity and integrity in adverse conditions. The paper presents results from prospecting activities carried out in the Ilha do Caranguejo region, Maranhão, Brazil — an uninhabited area characterized by dense mangrove forests and interconnected waterways.
