Abstract

This study presents a distributed control system for a multi-agent co-simulation environment designed to regulate a Direct Current (DC) bus voltage. The system employs a client/server architecture to facilitate communication among devices connected to the DC bus. A multi-agent system (MAS) orchestrates interactions between power converters, enabling stable operation of a DC microgrid (MG) powered by photovoltaic arrays and a battery bank. Python, TCP/IP sockets, and simulators PLECS, PSIM, and real-time digital simulator (RTDS) were integrated to create a computational environment. Results demonstrate the system’s ability to maintain the DC bus voltage and battery state of charge (SoC) within predefined limits, validating the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
